Mugwort
Mugwort
Other names: the dream weed, naughty man, witch herb, sailor’s tobacco, Artemis Herb
Types of rituals: Protection, clairvoyance, spirit work
Mugwort is one of the oldest known magical herbs. Mugwort is all about protection and it moves stagnant energies. It repels negative entities. Mugwort aids in clairvoyance, causes lucid dreaming, prophetic dreams, and is great to use in dream pillows.
Burn to get rid of spirits, great to use in exorcisms. Used as a replacement for white sage. Pick at the Summer Solstice and hang bunches around the house to repel negative entities and protect all year round. Rub leaves on a crystal ball to strengthen its powers. Protects against ghosts. Helps you not dream of the dead.
Mugwort is slightly psychoactive if ingested so please be aware. It is immensely bitter. If that’s what you are after, I recommend a tincture. It’s also known to help relieve menstrual cramps, helps with stomach issues, and digestion.
Jar contains about an ounce of mugwort. Do not use if pregnant. Always consult your doctor.
